The Tonkins Family Update

Victoria has had a tremendous both academically and athletically making A and B honor roll and participated in three sports, volleyball, soccer, and basketball. She has also demonstrated giftedness in music and art. Victoria has gotten pretty tall and beautiful. Victoria has also did a fabulous job videotaping Christian’s games

Christian will graduate from High School June 8th and has had a great senior year 3.1 GPA and has made all conference and all area. Christian team set a school record going 23-5 making it to the sweet sixteen in the state playoffs and is headed to Western Carolina University. Coach Vickie has stayed busy working in the assistant principal’s office coaching track and being a mother and wife. Vickie has a big exam coming up in June to receive her license. She also has been typing Sunday morning messages for our Pastor since October. She also has served as a mentor for a group called phenomenal young women which she has help direct a fashion show which was excellent. I again have been amazed at her abilities and leadership.

Coach Rex has been on the journey of school two classes away from getting my Master Degree. I also had the privilege of coaching high School track. The things that have been on my heart: Hearing the voice of God and where he is directing the Tonkins family. I also have been concerned about the state of our youth and seeking the mind of God in making a difference in the culture of young people. Psalm 87:1 is the scripture God has laid upon my heart and getting further understanding of its meaning as it related to the Tonkins family. I have also have been preparing for our summer tour.
